On March 12th 2007,to co-incide with the launch of Docklands Station,Dublin Bus started a new shuttle service 93 between Docklands Station and Eden Quay. The service is the only of the Railink Group of Routes in the 90's not operated by Conyingham Road.
The service is operated by Phibsboro/Broadstone,mostly with 2006 AX's. AX556,seen above with AX589, operated the first departures on the new route.
The Shelter terminus which the 93 and fellow Docklands Route 151 will use, only a few minutes after Adshel completed the final changes to the structure.
The 93 was preceeded a week earlier by the Conyingham Road Operated 151, which operates from Docklands (East Road) to Adamstown. This began on March 4th 2007, being extended to Adamstown 4 months later. Below:AV407 on the 151 overtakes AX556 on the 93 at Docklands on March 12th 2007.
On the launch day as well as the 93 & 151,3 Summerhill AX's were present ,proving the adaptability to handle more bus services if needed. Leading AX637 & 628 is AX635.
The 93 however did not last very long, low passenger numbers saw it quietly dropped by Summer 2007, much of the route already being covered by the 90 & 151.
