Apoligies for the contunied delay to the Route 10 Feature, delayed to to technical issues, but the mini feature for this evening is up anyway!
A bit of travelling by the webmaster as of late brought him to encounter 2 ex Dublin RH's, one,RH27,seen above approaching Haymarket Bus Station,Newcastle on August 21st 2008.
Former RH27,now 3948, was encountered last year on our RH's on Tyneside Feature, but since then has undergone a livery change. Ad frames have been applied and much of the veichle's greengrocers vinals have been removed. It has kept it's Bargain Bus Branding nonetheless, with an A4 sheet next to the door reminding passengers that it's still Bargain fares.
Otherwise the Ex Summerhill & Isle of Man RH, now allocated to Go North East's Ashington Depot, remains the same as per the feature above.
Less then a week later at the request of a friend, ended up on the Isle of Man, and shortly after getting off the train, what lay at the railings next to the train station but former Dublin Bus RH36, August 27th 2008.
She ended up on the Isle of Man in 2003, the veichle starting it's Dublin Bus days in Conyingham Road very briefly and spending most of it's life in Phibsboro. She was on the IOM with ex RH's 18,24,26 & 27. She is now the only of the batch there, mainly on schools, numbered 99 in their fleet system. Of particular intrest is her Irish Scrolls, which appear to be Phibsboro !
The IOM is well worth a visit, with excellent scenery and a good transport system to explore!
