With ALX400 production uncertain,Dublin Bus looked at some potential replacements,bringing London General's E1 to Dublin for a visit,

The Mark 2's paid a rare visit to Cobh,a branch mainly worked by the IE DMU Fleet,

The AD's and the VA's said farewell,with a commemorative run on the 10 and 122 in July,

The RH's broke new ground in Ireland,for tour work anyway,

The Bus Eireann fleet was enhansed with more SP's,including an updating of the Eurolines fleet,

By Far,the Ryder Cup was the highlight of the year for Bus enthusiasts,bringing a wide variety to West Dublin,

And brought the Olimpians to odd places,Ringsend Buses to the 16 being one!!!

And Aircoach hopped on the AOA scene,

A Surprise at the end of 2006 was the Transfer of the VA's to Bus Eireann scheduled work,with VA1,4,5 &6 joining the Bus Eireann Cork City Fleet,

And to everyone's surprise,and relief-124 and 134 lasted the year out and into 2007,

By the end of 2006,sights like this were rare to say the least,

As for 2007,it will be a year of change,new routes in Dublin such as the 141 and 151 to look forward to,Broadstone rejoining the scheduled scene when the 25's move there and Iarnrod Eireann takes it's first 22000 Class DMU's.

Bus operation in Dublin will also change,with only a handful of buses making it into 2007 in an old livery.Conyingham Road has won the battle for the first all FS garage,with AV362-ironically the last bus delivered in the old Core livery-being dawned.Indeed rumours are that we will see sights like the photo below,and perhaps Enviros in FS for the first time!!
